BlackBerry launched Z3 with 5-inch display in India at INR 15,990

New Delhi: BlackBerry has launched its mid range BlackBerry smartphone Z3 in India with a price tag of Rs 15,990. The Z3 features a 1.2 Ghz dual-core processor, 1.5 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory (expandable upto 32 GB).

The phone features a 5-inch (540 x 960 qHD resolution) display and a 5 megapixel rear camera. Its rear camera is capable of taking 1080p HD videos.

Popular especially among the youth for its Curve range devices and messaging app BBM. BlackBerry Z3 is the first handset manufactured by Foxconn. It supports  few Android apps. Android apps can be downloaded directly from the Internet. However, not all Android apps can run on the handset.

The firm saw its shares fall as devices powered by Google's Android OS and Apple iPhones gained strong demand in the market and despite launching its BlackBerry 10 OS moved on to this gadget.
