               PRANK leaves worker in ICU


A 30 year old man employed in the ordnance factory was severely injured when one of his work-mate released compressed gas into his intestine through his rectum, apparently as a prank.

Police said that the condition of the victim, who has been admitted was serious.
Police informed that the incident happened on thursday during a break . Rajender alias Pintu, the victim, was allegedly forced to sit on a high      powered gas compressor within the factory by ankit-30. The accused then opened the valve of the cylinder allowing compressed gas to rush into the abdomen of the victim. The gas swelled up the abdomen of Rajender (pintu) and injured his intestines severely, police state the incident seems to be a prank between Ankit and Pintu.
The victim was a resident of Jalalabad in Muradnagar. An FIR was lodged at the Muradnagar police station on Friday night by a complaint filed by the victim's brother, Harendra. A case has been registered against Ankit. The victim has been shifted to a hospital in Meerut after primary treatment in Ghaziabad. Doctors treating him said that the patient has been admitted to the ICU after a surgery.
The lower portion of the large intestine of the victim, including the rectum and sigmoid colon has suffered perforations in the accident. "His condition is stable now but he is under observation. A reconstructive surgery of the damaged portion will be done later," said the surgeon.
