Story Line:
"Rajinikanth" is playing double role in the film Lingaa. he plays a District Collector and the other is a robber. He will be an extra-ordinary thief, dealing with costly diamonds. The robbery scenes are going to be very interesting in new way. Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha is all set to make her debut in south with this film, she will be seen playing the role of a 40's beauty in the flick romancing Rajinikanth's district collector role. British actress Lauren J Irwin will be pairing up with the superstar in his other character. Anushka Shetty is also playing the female lead in the flick. Lingaa is directed by KS Ravikumar and produced by leading Kannada producer Rockline Venkatesh. R Rathnavelu is handling the camera work.
Lingaa also happens to be the name of Dhanush and Aishwarya's younger son.
Rajinikanth is specially trained by Hollywood stunt masters to make the movie standard's rise like as 'Dhoom' series. It is said that Rajini is going to be flying above skyscrapers, following many car chase sequences.
