New demands for Kurnool by YCP.

Kurnool: There are different opinions among the political parties, leaders in Andhra Pradesh state for capital location. Rayalaseema YSR Congress party leaders have prepared for an agitation on this issue along with the local organizations over the place, but later dropped down the idea after their own party president Jagan Mohan Reddy supported state government’s decision of making state capital in Vijayawada.

Following the recommendations of Shivaramakrishnan committee, YSR Congress Party MLAs Gouru Charita and Izaiah have appealed Major Irrigation leader Uma maheswara Rao Devineni to give away Krishna Water Board to Kurnool. keeping in mind of important projects like Gorakal reservoir, Hundri-Neeva and Velagamanu projects. They said that the pending works of these projects will be completed without any delay if the board is allotted to the district.
