5. Queen


Queen
Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Queen’ did wonders at the Box Office window. It emerged as one of the biggest surprise of first half in the year 2014. With positive reviews out of the mouth, it went on to be the most profitable movie Made with the low budget of Rs. 20 crore, the movie collected a grand total of Rs. 61 crore in its lifespan.

4. Gunday


Gunday
Starring Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, Gunday directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, proved  to be a successful movie at the box-office. Ranveer as Bikram and Arjun as Bala managed to leave a good impact on the audience. The movie collected sum of 77 crore and was declared a hit.
3. 2 States

2 States
2 States, The movie is based on the novel written by Chetan Bhagat. The sizzling pair of Arjun and Alia, made a perfect flick and also the songs made wonders, and this movie ranked 2nd among the successful movies of the year. It made Rs. 104 crore collection at the box-office.
2. Ek Villain

Ek Villain
Aashiqui 2 after a musical  blockbuster, Mohit Suri came up with another love story adding some thrill in it. The movie amassed many with its first look and was a suspense creating buzz. inspite of average review the movie did wonders. It collected Rs. 70 crore till now, and it may cross 100 crore soon.

1. Holiday

Holiday, A Solider is never off duty
Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi sinha Starrer 'Holiday' made with high budget of Rs. 75 crore stands in the 1st position among all the 5 hits in first half of the year 2014. Suprasing the collections of Jai HO the movie collected Rs. 112 crore till its 3rd week. In spite of toughest competition from 2 great movies like Humshakala and Ek Villain in its 3rd and 4th week, the movie is still adding some crores its collection.
