Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy on thursday said that all the 46 Indian nurses were moved out of Iraq's Tikrit city. There is no need for anxiety at this moment Chandy said, "we are unable to say where are they heading to.
Red Cross is there but with very limited operations in Tikrit they could not help. "It was they who supplied essential food items drinking water when these nurses were in the hostel compartment in Tikrit. a Kerala government official said all the 46 are women nurses.
He spoke to the reporters after interactions with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. "They came out of their hostel from the hospital compound and have left the place". During these incident 3 nurses suffered minor injuries, Chandy said.
"I am sorry. we are unable to reveal more information on this aspect" added Chandy.
