"Miss call" ads from Facebook soon in India

According to Facebook this service ("Miss Call" ads) will reach million's of people who use the social networking site (Facebook). it's claimed that India is the second biggest market after US using Facebook. Once a miss call is made the user will either get a recorded call or a text message, an add unit in India is currently testing this service. Users in India will also be able to request Cricket scoresusing the service.
Facebook test its new service for emerging top markets like india, which it named "Miss Call" ads. This service allows user to talk to brand advertisers. Call and hangup, then you receive a call back from the advertiser. Currently, Facebook's chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg is on avisit to India and this announcement has been made with her visit.
Many people in emerging markets like India, South Africa and indonesia use Facebook on Basic mobiles rather than on Smartphones the number of people using Basic mobile phones goes from 66% in India while the number goes up to 68% in South Africa and 71% in Indonesia. Addition of this feature into emerging markets, can fetch hand full of cash in return.
"There's an opportunity for us to get much more localized with what were building and developing," Kelly Maclean, Facebook's business lead for emerging markets said in an interview.
Initially, Facebook is testing the "miss call" service in India and later this service will expand into markets like Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Nigeria and South Africa.
