Two days earlier Samsung had launched Galaxy Tab S, 10.5 and 8.4 for Inr 37,800 and 44,800 respectively with 2,560x1,600 pixel resolution, Super Amoled display. Now, Sony had joined the game by launching Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet in India with a price tag of Rs.49,990. Sony's tablet may not have the most pixel dense screen (10.1 inch Triluminos full HD 1,920x1,200) in the market compared to iPad Air, however it's packed incredibly powerful.

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor with 2.3GHz, and 3GB of RAM. it's also a water resistant and dustproof chassis, none of it's competitors boast. It has unique noise cancellation technology, microSd card slot supporting upto 64GB of memory, Bluetooth 4.0 It's one of the lightest tablet in the market and weighs only 426 grams. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with Exmor R sensor capable of shooting video at 1080 pixels, and has a 2.1-megapixel front facing camera.

Internally packed with 6,000mAh battery, which is quite decent than the 7,900mAh battery on Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and can be managed for better battery efficiency. The device is enabled with voice calling feature, on a massive tablet with calling feature seems little useless, but it's good to have that feature.

Last year, the Xperia Z tablet was considered the best Android Tablet in Indian market, this year the competition has become quite Stark.
