Andhra Pradesh government signs agreement for the scheme 'Power for All'

Electricity supply all the time 24x7, will come into existence in Andhra Pradesh from 2nd of October this year. The state government of Andhra Pradesh with Union Power Ministry on Tuesday signed an agreement under the 'Power for All' scheme. AP is one among the few states chosen to provide 24x7 power supply.

The happenings took place in the presence of Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal and Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu.

National Thermal Power Corporation, NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited and Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited signed the separate agreements with the state government to setup power project plants. While one of the thermal plant of 4,000 MW will come up in Visakhapatnam, and a 2,500 MW solar plant in Rayalaseema.
