Hero Motocorp to setup Production Plant in Andhra Pradesh

Hero has three operational plants and one under construction in the country the company has proposed to set up another plant in Gujarat. With Hero announcing its expansion plans, the Chief Minister requested Munjal to set up its two-wheeler manufacturing unit in AP, N.Chandrababu Naidu decided to allocate 600 acres of land for the unit,

Hero MotoCorp will set up its 6th two-wheeler manufacturing plant in the country at 'Sri City SEZ' in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. The plant will produce 1.8 million vehicles annually, it provides direct employment to around 6,000 persons. The unit will also create indirect employment for another 3,000 persons, the sources added.

Hero Motocorp has informed that the Company on Sept 16, 2014 has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the State Government of Andhra Pradesh to set-up a 2-wheeler manufacturing plant in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh with an investment of Rs 1600 crore approx.
