''Sudarsan Pattnaik'' Indian sand artist won the People's Choice prize for his work in Atlantic City.

US: ''Sudarsan Pattnaik'' Indian sand artist won the People's Choice prize for his work "Save Tree, Save the Future" at the World Cup of Sand Sculpting 2014 held in the Atlantic City.

Pattnaik was presented with the People's Choice medal by the Mayor ''Don Guardian'' of Atlantic City. Twenty renowned sand artists from all around the world participated in the event.


"I am very glad to win this prize for our country in sand art world cup at USA 2014 and i'am thankful to all the people who liked my sculpture and voted for me to win," he said.competition begained on June 19, every sculptor got 30 hours of time to create their artwork using 10 tons of sand.
Pattnaik  also participated in doubles category with an American sculptor Mathew Roy Diebert. Both of them created sand sculpture of Tajmahal. They were placed at 5th position in the doubles category.

Pattnaik Born on 15 of april 1977 (37) in Puri, Odisha, India was awarded  Padmashri by Indian government this year, Pattnaik has participated in over 50 International championships and festivals around the World and won many prizes. He runs a sand art school there.
